|Corruption in the Philippines|
Dear brethren in Christ:
Just a note to commend you on the good work you are doing in that area of the world. I am blessed to know of other brethren in far places who serve God as we do. You are an encouragement to me, brethren.
I am a Gospel preacher currently working for a 2-year old congregation named Sta. Teresa Church of Christ in Lallo, Cagayan with a size of 20 members. Entering this year, we held a Gospel meeting last January 20 with 4 speakers; one of them was bro. Robby McPeak, evangelist of the Tillmans Corner Church in Mobile, AL. There are about 70s attendance.I also had the chance working with bro. Jim McDonald on the same week.
On the last week of February, I travelled to Angeles city to attend a preachers' seminar conducted by brethren Earl Mitchel, Kevin Maxey and Andy Alexander. It was a far and sacrifice trip, but, it was an edifying and encouraging trip for me.
Starting this coming March 31, bros. Ron Halbrook and Steve Wallace will be conducting a preaching trip here in our region. Though they have not included my place in their schedule due to the limited time they're here, I will be attending any of the churches they go to near to mine, Lord willing.
Life here is so different compared to life there in the states. The poorest among you is far better than most of us here. Prayers from fellow-Christians elsewhere are very helpful for us to survive the many problems we are facing day by day.
Thanks for your time in reading this note. Hopefully I have stirred up your interest to the Philippine work. And I will be glad to hear from you also, brethren. May God bless you and please remember us in your prayers.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
